Complete software list is available here.

The Media Equipment Centre (or Media Cage) provides all media students with free access to a wide selection of top of the line professional video and photography production equipment.  All the equipment you need to improve the quality of your work is on hand at the Media Cage.

More information is available here.

Guelph-Humber’s Broadcast lab is a state of the art digital studio complete with a standard green wall and fully equipped control and engineering rooms typical of first class industry broadcasting.

The studio is set up and ready to go for professional newscasts, interviews, talk shows, and the like in third year journalism courses.

Complete list of equipment is available here.

The photography studio supports the shooting of top quality portraits and advertising photographs for all Image Arts students.  The professional studio contains movable black and white flats and various size cubes to allow each student to build their own custom shooting space.  The studio is open early and late outside of Media Cage hours to allow students the flexibility to book industry models, athletes and entertainers for portfolio and/or freelance work.

Complete speedotron lighting kits, stands, booms, soft boxes, photogenic kits and other valuable photography equipment are readily available from the media cage for routine studio work.

The expert Guelph-Humber video editing suites contain numerous Final Cut Pro stations complete with all the equipment to edit your video streams the same way the pros do.  All expert stations are set up and maintained with firewire DVCAM/miniDV and analog VHS and DVD decks.

Premiere PRO stations are also available for those skilled enough for the alternative professional environment.  Full DVD authoring is avaiable on all MAC editing stations.

The Guelph-Humber Art Gallery attracts local and international artists and provides ideal space for art exhibitions of all mediums.

Image Arts students receive an opportunity once a year to display their work in this gallery.

For current and future exhibition information, please check our news and events section.
