What are the Zebra Stripes and Exclamation Marks in the viewer window?
You are looking at the Range Check indicators. You can turn them off by selecting the Viewer window (click on it once) and then selecting View > Range Check > Off. Do the same with the Canvas window if Range Check is being displayed there.
The Range Check feature lets you know if your clip(s) are broadcast safe with respect to excess Luma (light) and/or Chroma (color.)
If clips are out of range (yellow exclamation mark and red zebra stripes) and not broadcast safe, you can use the “Color Corrector 3-way” filter to fix them.
The green check mark and green zebra stripes indicate the clip is broadcast safe.
